How do I know what size I need?

How long do I need storage?
Our month to month rentals give you the flexibility to choose just how long you require your unit.

You provide the lock ensuring you and only you have access.

How do I get my items to the unit?
Our driveway is wide enough allowing a semi, rental truck or large vehicle to drive in. Movers have easy access to your unit. Hand carts and/or dollies are also available for use. Contact our helpful Manager to check hand cart availability.

What's the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The office hours are the hours of operation for the property when the facility Manager will be available to assist you with your storage needs or questions. If you require meeting our facility Manager outside of our standard office hours, please schedule an appointment.
The gate hours are the hours your rental unit can be accessed using your assigned electronic gate security code. If you require access outside of our standard gate hours ask the facility Manager for information about after hours entry.

What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?
An outdoor unit has access from outside. An indoor unit is within the property and will require you to go inside to access your unit.

What is a drive-up unit?
A drive-up unit is an outside unit, located on the first floor of a facility, that gives you the ability to load your belongings directly from a vehicle or truck.

Do you have moving carts available?
Push carts are available for inside units accessed by inside hallways. If you are renting an inside unit and need a push cart, please let the facility Manager know and they will be happy to assist you.

What is a roll-up door?
Roll-up doors are very similar to garage doors and are accessed by sliding a latch and lifting the door upward. Roll-up doors are the most common door in self-storage and are bigger than most doors allowing tenants to maximize the space of their unit.

Do you offer RV/boat/car/motorcycle parking?
We offer standard car and motorcycle parking. Ask our facility manager if an indoor unit can be used for parking.

What kind of security do you have?
STORAGEMAX Self Storage takes great care in protecting your belongings. We have a manager on-site, electronic gate that is alarmed and can only be accessed by code, 24 hr perimeter cameras monitoring the property, fencing and well-lit facilities and personal locks available for purchase.

What does "on-site" manager mean?
"On-site" manager means that an employee, usually the facility manager, has an apartment on-site as part of the facility.

Do I get a lock when I rent a unit?
You can purchase a new lock at our facility and no one else will have a key to that lock. To ensure the highest level of security, we require the purchase of a disc lock, also known as a cylinder lock.

Can anybody access the storage facility or do you need a PIN number?
Our facility has an electronic gate system which can only be opened by a security code that is assigned to each individual tenant. The code allows us to monitor who is entering and exiting the facility.

Do you have video cameras?
Yes, our facility uses perimeter cameras as a security measure. Cameras are generally located at the point of entry and exit and other areas around the facility.

How far in advance can I book a reservation?
We give you the flexibility to book a reservation up to 30 days in advance to help you plan ahead.

Am I renting the space month-to-month or am I on a lease?
Your agreement is month-to-month with STORAGEMAX Self Storage. You can move out whenever you want so long as you give us at least a 10 days notice. Failure to give notice 10 days in advance means that you are responsible to pay for an additional month's rent.

Can I buy boxes and other packing supplies from StorageMAX or rent a moving truck?
No but the facility Manager can recommend local companies to you.

What are the payment terms?
STORAGEMAX Self Storage wants to make your storage experience a stress-free experience, including paying your bill. Our leases run month to month and we have several payment options. We can automatically charge your Mastercard®, Visa®, or Discover® each month, or you can mail or deliver your payment to our address. You can send us a check via mail each month.
